With a pause on world travel, we continued our Canada travels and made our way back to Vancouver. We ended up overnighting in Calgary on the way arriving on Saturday morning.

Jul 31

After landing, we headed downtown on the Skytrain and checked into The Hyatt, our go-to hotel, and spent the day exploring some familiar ground in Vancouver.

With Alaskan cruises cancelled for the year, the Cruise Terminal was very quiet.

Always enjoy watching the seaplane departures.

After a full day of walking, we found some dinner and checked in for the night.

Aug 1

With another nice day, we continued walking the city and started on the other side of False Creek by the Vancouver Museum.

Clocking in thousands of steps we grabbed some dinner on Davies Street and back to the hotel.

Aug 2

Having covered ground in Vancouver, we decided to venture further afield, and decided to spend the day on Bowen Island. To reach the island we caught a bus to Horseshoe Bay and the ferry.

We catch the afternoon ferry back to Horseshoe Bay and the bus back to our hotel and a nearby dinner.

Aug 3

With an early afternoon flight back to Toronto, we didn’t have much time to cover new ground, but had a relaxing walk around the harbour before catching the train to the airport and flying home to Toronto. Although travel certainly wasn’t back to normal, we were certainly starting to enjoy it again.
